Handover of the new building
Countdown for the move by SCHENKER & CO AG to Viertel Zwei
The transfer of the SCHENKER & CO AG head office in Vienna has entered a critical phase: on Friday, 28 August 2009, the new office building in the Viertel Zwei Business Park was officially handed over to DB Schenker by representatives of IC Projektentwicklung.
Michael Griesmayer, owner of the office complex, and Andreas Köttl and Sabine Ullrich, managing directors of IC Projektentwicklung, handed the keys to Rund Vier Haus D to Michael Meyer, member of the board of SCHENKER & CO AG.
The move can now start in earnest. After delivery of the interior furnishing, around 120 workstations will move to the head office on Friday, 18 September. On Monday, 21 September, the employees will pick up where they left off in the new premises.
“It’s difficult to leave the offices on Hoher Markt, but the step was inevitable. The magnificent new Viertel Zwei Business Park and the modern office facilities in our building give us plenty to look forward to,” said Michael Meyer at the key ceremony.
The move will be handled by an internal department, DB SCHENKERmoving services, which has plenty of experience with tasks of this kind.
The work is being carried out under considerable pressure, because the move has to be made on a weekend.
The furniture, IT infrastructure, files, archives and sensitive data material have to moved in a few hours from Hoher Markt to Viertel Zwei.
